Description

These crispy cottage cheese chips are the ultimate high-protein snack—light, salty, and unbelievably satisfying. They bake or microwave into golden, crunchy bites that taste indulgent but are secretly healthy. Perfect for guilt-free snacking, movie nights, or adding crunch to your favorite salads.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup plain full-fat cottage cheese, drained

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Cooking spray or olive oil mist

Parchment paper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare a microwave-safe plate. Line with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil.

  • Drain excess liquid from the cottage cheese using a paper towel or fine mesh strainer.

  • Drop small spoonfuls (about a teaspoon each) of cottage cheese onto the prepared sheet, spacing them apart.

  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.

  • For oven method: Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and crisp around the edges.

  • For microwave method: Cook on high for 2–3 minutes, watching closely during the last 30 seconds.

  • Let the chips cool for 2–3 minutes—they’ll crisp up even more as they cool.

  • Enjoy fresh, or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

Use full-fat cottage cheese for best results; low-fat tends to stay soft.

Try flavor variations like everything bagel seasoning, chili flakes, or grated Parmesan.

Store in an airtight container lined with paper towels to keep crispness.

Re-crisp in the oven at 325°F for a few minutes if needed.
