Description
These crispy cottage cheese chips are the ultimate high-protein snack—light, salty, and unbelievably satisfying. They bake or microwave into golden, crunchy bites that taste indulgent but are secretly healthy. Perfect for guilt-free snacking, movie nights, or adding crunch to your favorite salads.
Ingredients
1 cup plain full-fat cottage cheese, drained
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Cooking spray or olive oil mist
Parchment paper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare a microwave-safe plate. Line with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil.
Drain excess liquid from the cottage cheese using a paper towel or fine mesh strainer.
Drop small spoonfuls (about a teaspoon each) of cottage cheese onto the prepared sheet, spacing them apart.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.
For oven method: Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and crisp around the edges.
For microwave method: Cook on high for 2–3 minutes, watching closely during the last 30 seconds.
Let the chips cool for 2–3 minutes—they’ll crisp up even more as they cool.
Enjoy fresh, or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Notes
Use full-fat cottage cheese for best results; low-fat tends to stay soft.
Try flavor variations like everything bagel seasoning, chili flakes, or grated Parmesan.
Store in an airtight container lined with paper towels to keep crispness.
Re-crisp in the oven at 325°F for a few minutes if needed.
